


Danièle Bessis started her career in 1988 in the French Ministry of Industry as adviser to Roger Fauroux where she participates in important transformation projects including the overhauling of the Régie Renault. After directing the M&A activities at Pechiney from 1989 to1990, Danièle begins a ten year banking career at BNP where she is responsible amongst other important projects of the deal structuring of Eurotunnel. Based on this experience she takes on the direction of the project finance department in London and is, then, named responsible for the centralization of the foreign exchange and interest rates activities of the bank. From 2000, it is in the insurance sector that she pursues her career, first at AGF where she is in charge of financial shareholdings before leading for 7 years the turn around of the leading French insurance broker Gras & Savoye group as its Managing Director. Danièle Bessis is Chairman of Safig since January 2009 after her role of chairman of April Group Corporate starting in September 2007. Leaning on her duality (deal maker and manager), she has been named since 2007 a member of the board of the fund 21 Centrale Partners. She is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and an Engineer of the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Danièle Bessis is also major of her promotion at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (section mathematics).


After a twenty year career spent at Avis, the car rental company, Georges Sampeur knows all the facets of marketing and commercial development in the corporate services sector. After his arrival in 1979, Georges Sampeur held down many different positions before becoming Commercial Director France, and Head of Marketing Sales in 1989. From 1994, he became Vice President Marketing Sales EMEA, and then reached the Rent A Car's CEO position in early 1996. Over these four years spent as CEO, the group sales increased from $ 1.8 B to $ 3.3 B in 1999. From late 1999 to 2002, Georges Sampeur was appointed France's Chairman and EMEA's Vice-President of the travel group Carlson Wagonlit Travel and sat on its Executive Committee. In 2003, Georges Sampeur became Chairman of the B&B Hôtels Group (www.hotelbb.com) after an MBI backed by Duke Street Capital fund. In 2005 he led the acquisition of the group by Eurazeo in a secondary LBO and continued with its build-up strategy, with, among others, the acquisition of Villages Hôtels in early 2007 and by the signing of a new contract for the development of 34 hotels on German highways in November 2007. Georges Sampeur who owns a commercialization diploma, is also a member of the regional Club "Investir en Finistère".


Jean-Claude is an elected Member of the Commerce & Industry Chamber of Paris as President of the European Mission. He is also a Member of the Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Ile de France (suburbs areas of Paris) as President of the Commission for the Economical Development.
With an Engineering degree from ESIEE, an MBA from EDHEC and a Master in Economics, Jean-Claude has exercised numerous functions of which : Until 2008 Executive Officer of GIMELEC From 1991 to 2007 Executive officer of FIEEC From 1987 to 2004 Has supervised different organisations for the promotion of the French Foreign Trade From 1967 to 1987 Has operated in the electrical industry at the Head Management and mainly at international level From 1963 to 1967 Director to the European Commission in Brussels

He is Commandeur dans l’Ordre National du Mérite (National Order of Merit) and Officier de la Légion d’Honneur (The Legion of Honour).


Jean-Paul Brayer has an outstanding track record amongst the world leading consumer good groups. Jean-Paul started his career in marketing at Colgate Palmolive in France during 5 years and then in New York. He dedicates his next 8 years at Heineken France as Head of Sales and Marketing. As CEO of Mazda/Wonder Battery Group, Jean-Paul was responsible for the re-launching of the brands, the restructuring of its manufacturing sites and its disposal to Ralston Energy System in 1998. Then, Jean-Paul specialized in the food sector as CEO of William Saurin and Perrier, where he managed large restructuring processes for both companies. Between 1995 and 2001, he became CEO of the group Flo (Bistro Romain, Hippopotamus….), further developed its presence through new sites opening, led several acquisitions and its IPO in 1998, as well as leading the effort to restructure its debt. Jean-Paul Brayer has been CEO of the group Quick (www.quick.be) since January 2002. Since that time, he has launched its new marketing campaign, reorganized the group and led the 2003 capital increase. Also, Jean-Paul has been President of the Financière Quick's Executive Board since January 2007 date of its LMBO backed by CDC CI. Jean-Paul graduated from the ESCP, is Director of SNARR (Syndicat National de la Restauration Rapide), and is a member of the Groupement des Professions de Service of Medef.


During his career, Jean-Paul Giraud has led the growth and development of important retail distribution companies. Jean-Paul Giraud began his professional life as economist engineer for the French Ministry of environment and equipment (1969-1973). Jean-Paul then started his carrier in the retail sector at SEGECE (a subsidiary of the Compagnie Bancaire), as head of new concepts development (1973-1977). Between 1977 and 1995, Jean-Paul continued in the distribution sector. First, as Head of Development at Auchan and then as President of its American subsidiary Food Field, Jean-Paul Giraud negotiated the build-up operations that made the group's turnover increase from €2.6 B to €9.14 B. Then, in 1986, he became CEO of Cora-Révillon's supermarket subsidiary and was responsible for its turn around. Between 1995 and 2007, Jean-Paul entered in the specialized distribution sector. CEO (1995) and Chairman of the board (2000) of the group FNAC, he developed the company by increasing the number of shops and launching new activities. The turnover was multiplied by 2.5. Between 2004 and 2007, as President of GO Sport, Jean-Paul Giraud set the new strategic direction of the group. Jean-Paul Giraud is now President of Salbia, a consulting company focused on retail that he created. He is also a member of the Board of the Banque Transatlantique, Grandvision and Game. Jean-Paul graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Lille and attended the Stanford Executive Program


Michel Demont started his career in 1972 at the logistic group Mory as Assistant to the President and as Executive Committee's member of one of its subsidiaries. Between 1980 and 1983, he became member of the Executive Commitee of a subsidiary of the Compagnie Générale des Eaux, in charge of IT systems and water management. In 1984, Michel began a long careerr in consulting as Senior Manager at Peat Marwick, and later, as Partner in charge of the financial sector (between 1987 and 1998). He also sat on KPMG Peat Marwick Consultants' Board of Directors and was President of KPMG Corporate Finance between 1992 and 1998, the M&A specialized subsidiary of the firm, the headcount of which evolved from 4 to 25 consultants over a period of 7 years. During this period, Michel led the debt restructuring of Eurodisney in 1994, advised the President of the group Banque Populaire, reorganized the Société Générale's Investment Banking department and participated in the first restructuring of the group Caisse d'Epargne. Michel also co-organized the sale of KPMG Peat Marwick to CSC Inc and became Vice-President of the new entity from 1998 to 2001. Michel Demont is President of the venture capital company Aurinvest (www.aurinvest.com). Michel Demont has an important associative life. He founded and is President of the Ex Peat Marwick workers Association, he is member and benefactor of the Association Internationale des Bibliophiles and has founded and is President of the website www.rarebooks.info Michel graduated from HEC in 1972.

After an initiation to cross border financial operations in a French bank, Olivier Bossan joined the Pechiney group in 1980 in which he held different responsibilities in the financial and international development departments. In particular he was Chief Financial Officer of the Mining division. In 1988, Olivier joined Crédit Lyonnais and specialized in acquisition finance and in venture capital. In 1994, he started and managed the Crédit Lyonnais' acquisition finance department for Western Europe. In 1998, Olivier participated in the launch of the IFE Fund, a European mezzanine fund of €200 M co-sponsored by Caisse des Dépôts and Crédit Lyonnais, a bank of which he became an Associate. In 2001, Olivier joined the Executive Committee of Crédit Lyonnais Private Equity and became Chief Executive Officer of its Mezzanis Fund. In 2003, Olivier created IDI Mezzanine, a mezzanine fund of € 100 M sponsored by IDI and dedicated to Mid Cap LBOs. In 2008, in association with Argos Soditic, Olivier raised and managed a fund specialized in sponsorless LBO funding and the development of mid-market companies in close relation with the owner managers. Olivier is also a member of the Supervisory Board of IRH Environnement. He graduated from IEP Paris (Institut d'Etudes Politiques), the Etudes Supérieurs de Sciences Economiques of Paris Panthéon Sorbonne University and the INSEAD International Executive Program.


In a thirty years-long career at Deloitte, Philippe Vassor has lived through every evolution of the auditing and consulting sector. In 1975, when he joined Deloitte as auditor, the company had in France around ten persons. Philippe became associate in 1981, and when he left the company in 2005, after being appointed Chairman between 2000 and 2004, Deloitte France (5 000 employees), had become a central member of the "big 4" (121 000 persons in the world in 140 countries). Philippe's auditing carrier led him to become President of Deloitte's International Banking Committee (1995-2002) and to be Partner in charge of auditing activity in France between 1997 and 2000. Along with this, he was responsible of the human resources in France (1985-1997) and became a member of Deloitte International's Executive Group Mondial between 2000 and 2004. In 1995, Philippe developed Deloitte France's regional offices and remained responsible for them until 1997. In 2002, he managed the integration in Spain and Portugal of the ex Arthur Andersen's teams. In 2003, Philippe executed the LBO of Inéum's consulting activities and reorganized the juridical consulting activities in Taj. Besides being Baignas's Chairman, Philippe has been an independent member of the board of Groupama (since 2005), Infovista (since 2005) and Arkéma (since 2006). Philippe graduated from the ESCP in 1975, and is certified public accountant and auditor.


Pierre-Jean Bozo started his career at AC Nielsen and Peat Marwick. In 1987, Pierre-Jean joined the Socpresse group, where he became, Head Controller and CEO of the daily papers Union and Paris Normandie. He then became CEO of the group Liberation in 1995, Executive Officer of the group Socpresse in 1996, and CEO of the group NRJ in 2000. Director of 20 Minutes (www.20minutes.fr) since September 2003, Pierre-Jean was appointed Chairman and Head of Publication of the free daily paper in January 2004. Four years after its launch, 20 Minutes is the number one French daily with eight editions, nearly 2.4 million readers and a drawdown of 870 000 copies, covering eight city regions. Pierre-Jean Bozo has also been a member of the IPJ's (Institut Pratique de Journalisme) board since 1999, a partner of the venture capital company Aurinvest since 2001 and an independent director of the group Turf Editions since 2005. Pierre-Jean Bozo is a Certified Public Accountant he graduated from ESC, and holds a Master in Economics and Tax.
