Wagram Corporate Finance expects Interns to meet a set of requirements in terms of technical skills, project management, teamwork, communication and motivation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Interns must be able to demonstrate a sound of general knowledge in:

  • Accounting/Finance: understanding of accounting concepts, calculation of financial and accounting ratios, general knowledge of financial analysis and ability to draw conclusions
  • Valuation/Modeling: demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of the different valuation techniques, e.g. EVA, DCF methodology (incl. WACC calculation), trading and transaction multiples. Ability to use and build tailor-made models
  • Research: ability to utilize databases such as Thomson Financial, Mergermarket, Diane, Amadeus, etc. Efficient use of Internet
  • Systems: demonstrate advanced Excel skills and efficient use of PowerPoint

TRANSACTION RESPONSABILITIES AND MARKETING

  • Assist in the preparation of discrete elements of presentations
  • Self review and critical assessment of all work before submission to others
  • Ability to deal simultaneously with different tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • Develop broad understanding of sector/regional and relevant competitive landscape of a company

A TEAM WORK PLAYER

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Keep team members informed of key issues and developments
  • Use judgment to seek clarification from superiors
  • Demonstrate a high degree of attention to details to ensure all work is of the highest quality

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Demonstrate both clear and confident oral and written communication
  • Ability to define issues relevantly, to be concise and explain complex concepts clearly
  • Demonstrate clear and concise drafting skills
  • Bilingual French/English, a third European language welcomed

MOTIVATION

  • He or she must show a proactive and positive behavior
  • Demonstrate drive and commitment to results
  • Proactive in seeking learning opportunities
